The Beacon Academy is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) in Switzerland to deliver the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grades 7-10 and the Diploma Programme (DP) for Grades 11-12.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a globally recognized educational organization that offers high-quality programs for students aged 3 to 19. Established in 1968 and based in Geneva, Switzerland, the IB is available in over 150 countries around the world. The Beacon Academy’s faculty members participate in professional development alongside IB World School colleagues from across the Asia Pacific region. Many of the Academy’s faculty are accredited IB examiners.
Both these accreditation ensure that the Beacon Academy’s diploma is accepted in tertiary school institutions globally.
The Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) is a government-accredited, self-regulatory body in the Philippines that is responsible for the certification of non-government organizations (NGOs) operating in the country. Established in 1999, PCNC’s primary purpose is to ensure that NGOs comply with legal requirements and uphold high standards of transparency, accountability, and good governance. It is a mechanism that allows donors, government agencies, and the general public to verify the legitimacy and credibility of NGOs, particularly those that are engaged in fundraising and receiving donations for social development programs. The Beacon Academy has been accredited by the PCNC since 2005.
The National Book Development Board (NBDB) is a government agency that is tasked with the development and promotion of the Philippine book publishing industry. Established in 1999 under Republic Act No. 8047 (The Book Publishing Industry Development Act), the NBDB aims to foster a vibrant book publishing sector, enhance the local reading culture, and promote Filipino authors, works, and literary heritage both locally and internationally.
