Key Concepts:
Fundamental ideas that guide the curriculum and help students make sense of their learning.
Related Concepts:
More specific ideas that provide depth to the key concepts, allowing for exploration within subjects.

Class Subjects
Middle Years Programme
(Grades 7-10)
Key Features of the MYP:
Interdisciplinary Learning
The MYP encourages connections between different subjects, helping students see the relevance of their learning in real-world contexts.
Students explore their learning through global contexts, which promote awareness of local and global issues and encourage them to think critically about their roles in society.
At the end of the program, students undertake a significant project that allows them to apply what they have learned in a self-directed manner, fostering independence and initiative.
The MYP uses a variety of assessment methods, focusing on both formative and summative assessments to evaluate students’ understanding and skills.
The program emphasizes the development of key skills, including communication, collaboration, research, and critical thinking, preparing students for further education and lifelong learning.
